Baci are chocolates with an irregular and rounded shape, stuffed with praline and hazelnut chips and covered with dark chocolate. They are produced by Perugina in Perugia.

It all started in 1922 when Luisa Spagnoli created a special chocolate: she kneaded the chopped hazelnuts, added a whole hazelnut and covered it with the unmistakable Luisa Dark chocolate. Given the shape similar to the knuckle of a hand, she decided to call it “Cazzotto”. Everything in this chocolate was perfect, except the name.

For this reason, at the suggestion of her beloved, she renamed it with a name that was equally sweet and irresistible: Baci Perugina.
